چکیده

CABRI is an experimental pulse reactor, funded by the french Institute for Radiological protection and Nuclear Safety (IRSN) operated CEA at Cadarache nuclear center, France. Its aim to study thus better understand RIA (Reactivity-Initiated Accident) effects on fuels. The restart of reactor in 2015 offers opportunity validate tools involving multiphysic calculation schemes reactivity insertions (RI) transients a system scale. Physics in-pile tests complex implies various physical fields (solid fluid thermics, thermal-hydraulics, mechanics neutronics) their coupled effects. insertion mastered depressurization neutron absorber (3He), contained into transient rods. increase flux inside core induces neutronic power effect, called “TOP” in-core rods that causes acceleration gas depressurization. challenge manage simulation these catching governing multiphysical phenomena be identified. In order achieve this objective, model scientific tool have been developed should validated. This paper proposes modeling based Quantified Phenomena Identification Ranking Table (QPIRT). These models are introduced CATHARE2 dedicated version named PALANTIR Best-Estimate results compared with data obtained commission tests: 3He pressure evolution.

Ash and sulphur removal from bitumen using column flotation technique: Experimental and response surface methodology modeling

This study investigates removing ash and pyrite sulphur from bitumen by column flotation process. Central composite design (CCD) of response surface methodology (RSM) was applied for modeling and optimization of the percentage of ash and pyrite sulphur removal from bitumen. The effects of five parameters namely the amounts of collector and frother agents, particle size, wash water rate and feed...

Multiphysics modeling of mechatronic multibody systems

Modeling mechatronic multibody systems requires the same type of methodology as for designing and prototyping mechatronic devices: a unified and integrated engineering approach. Various formulations are currently proposed to deal with multiphysics modeling, e.g. graph theories, equational approaches, cosimulation techniques. Recent works have pointed out their relative advantages and drawbacks,...

Modeling Microfluidic Separations using Comsol Multiphysics

Infrared spectroscopy can be used to identify and quantify individual (bio)chemical species within complex mixtures provided the spectroscopic fingerprints are strong enough. It is often the case, however, that the characteristic fingerprints are concealed by the much stronger absorptions of the most concentrated species. For example, in the case of blood serum, the very strong absorptions of p...
